I'm Colin Webster - the board game designer and illustrator behind Webstar Games.
My first game, Counter Attack, was launched in 2019. The original inspiration for creating Counter attack was the lack of decent tactical football games on the market. I wondered if I had what it takes to make my own game. To be honest, my first drafts were pretty terrible, but I eventually managed to create the game that has now sold over 10,000 copies worldwide! In 2026, Token Tower rated it as the number one football board game!
My second game, Club Manager, was funded on Kickstarter in 2026. At the time of writing this it's under production and will be shipped to customers at the end of the year. French reviewer Zuegma has already declared it the best football board game ever!
I have a handful of other games at various stages of development. In a twist to my story, they are not all football games.
When I'm not making board games, I enjoy going to football matches (Inverness Caley Thistle is my team), cooking, and walking my dog.
